Welcome to

Each week in 2024, Hope Hour plan to share a story of God connecting with people.

Welcome to the Hope Hour site!

You might be wondering what the reason is for sharing these stories...

It is innate to want to express your thanks when somebody does something loving, encouraging or comforting for you.

For Christians, these stories are an opportunity to focus on God, reflect on how God has been connecting with them, and communicate their thanks. In doing so, there is also more space to make time for God and journey ever deeper in faith.

Reading these stories can also be affirming for other Christians. The stories are an encouraging example of how the same God is at work in all our different lives.

In full truth, I also hope these stories speak to the diverse ways that God is at work. It does not always look like what we want it to look like. Perhaps, it does not happen in the timeframe we would want to see it. Yet, these stories show that God meets us where we are and that His will, timing, and ways are fully trustworthy.

Origin Story...

The Hope Hour project started as a personal exploration into how I could authentically share my Christian faith more intentionally with my family and friends. This started by asking them to a dinner with the pre-arranged, discussed intention of talking about my faith.

Laura name

I wanted to talk about faith in a way that was kind, respectful, and involved at least as much listening to the other person's point of view as it did talking about my own. On this note, please do get in touch if you have any thoughts or comments.

I am so grateful to my loved ones for the way they shared and listened to me. I learnt from these experiences that my faith was most relatable when I (in turn) shared the story of how I felt God was working in my life at that point in time. As the year moves along, I also hope to start sharing some tips learnt from my faith-sharing experiences.

Thank you for joining me!

But in your hearts revere Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect. 1 Peter 3:15

Welcome! If you've come to this site and you're not a Christian, you may be wondering what this is all about. We have a few words just for you here. Thank you for taking the time to visit us; we're glad you're here.
